Contaminated S4 infant formula recalled


Food Standards Australia New Zealand issues urgent recall of five batches of a prescription-only baby formula  Pharmacists are being encouraged to contact customers using Nestle Alfamino Infant Formula (0-12 months) to advise them of contamination concerns.  In a statement issued on Wednesday (7 January 2026), Nestle said the recall was “a precautionary measure due to the potential presence of cereulide”, which may cause gastrointestinal illness if consumed.
